but of a random request but does anyone know of a place with an enclosed outside area such as tennis court or fenced/gated car park that would hire it out as use for dog training.

I have two dogs and I am looking for somewhere safe and secure I can have them off the lead for training and exercising. I was looking for somewhere outside of businesss hour e.g 6/7 am sat or sun morning. therefore not effecting there normal visitors.
I am also a responsible owner so the'll be no worry of dog mess being left.

anyone know of anywhere ?

I personally use the tennis or footy courts at Rowley park.... Never asked, always unlocked.... Never left any doggy doo mind!

Come to think of it, you could probably get away with using the tennis courts at Wildwood park as well, if its more convenient. They are likewise always unlocked, though there is a bolt on the gate to make it secure.

Haven't been down there for a while so don't know whether they've put the nets up yet, suspect not, but when they are up the courts do tend to be well-ish used so you wouldn't be able to guarantee on them being available.

Be sure to have a good cover-story, if apprehended.

Oh my goodness are they still there? The majority of my childhood was divided between Holmcroft Library and those tennis courts. You used to have to go and collect a key (to the courts, not the library) from an elderly lady who lived in Clare Road. The last I heard, many moons ago, they had been taken over by Tillington Hall. It's so long since I've been over there, I just assumed they'd gone the way of most hotel tennis courts and been turned into a car park.
