Is anyone watching this, or has there been a complete boycott due to the inability of any of the home nations to qualify? I've watched all the games so far, the most entertaining being Germany vs. Poland which has just finished, and will try to watch as many as poss for the rest of the tournament. There are some superb players on show from many English clubs, not to mention the cream of the crop from the rest of Europe, and what with the large percentage of foreigners in the Premiership nowadays you can almost imagine that it's just an extension of the English season! Or not..

Well....just watched Holland vs. Italy, and it was bloody great! Excellent game for the impartial football fan, the better team on the night won against all odds and in emphatic fashion, and i've got a bet on Holland to win the tournament! Really though...it was a splendid display of football, and there's more to come. Now Italy have to beat Romania to get through to the next round, which will be fantastic to watch!

I'm no Trinny and Susannah, but WTF are Holland doing wearing orange shirts, white shorts, and Man City-style baby blue socks??!

Loved the game. Orange is the colour of the Dutch Royal family, goes back to William of Orange. When I lived out in Germany, if there were none of the home nations in the tournament (whatever the tournament was), Everyone used to support the Dutch. There were many wives/husbands connected to the forces who were Dutch, German too but nobody gave a shit about them. It was a lot of friendly banter really.

4-1 against russia. well then, a very good start, but lets see what tournament heads they have. spain need to watch the defence - they would have conceded a lot more if they were playing a better quality side, such as germany. that aside, a quality performance combining skill, agility, speed, and talent. all with a side helping of an aggressive attacking stance and a sprinkling of good fortune.
