Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

but if you turn out of met bar car park and go left........there would be accident from traffic coming up surely.....perhaps we should inform the middle of the road drivers of this!!
True, but I hope people would look to see if something is coming before turning out of the car park.

But yes, another example of poor driving is people turning left out of roads without bothering to see if there's anything coming or enough room to safely manoeuvre out first. This happens far too often when residential roads are parked on either side, obstructing vision.

My personal gripe is with people not indicating into or out of roads. Into - obviously some warning is appreciated when the car in front suddenly decides to turn into a road (but I would obviously allow enough room behind them in order for myself to not go into the back of him if the occasion arises).
People turning left out of roads may look like they are going to turn right if their left indicators are not blinking, possibly causing traffic to brake suddenly until they realise the other driver is in a BMW, or half asleep.

This is the case down that road - both sides usually chock block parked, this obstucts view (which doesnt only happen there) - edging out, car comes ramming down and hey ho full blown total abuse from other driver!
I hate no indicators - theres a lot of that lately - other pet hate - 40mph zone they do 20mph, get to a 30mph zone and they do 40mph haha that one i will never understand

Probably been posted about but that turn off of the main island by Asda where the two lanes become three, left hand to Asda, right hand to central or right. I spend time trying to figure out if the person in the car next to me knows the road system and if in any doubt I stay right and signal turning in later.

...and has been posted about many times is the road just after that in front of ASDA where left is A34, right goes into either A449 or A518. People in the A34 lane just drive straight into the A449 lane without even looking at the lane markings or signalling. Totally oblivious to road markings.

I don't like the junction at the end of queensway (which seems to have become 30mph further up now?!) at the Asda end where there are 3 lanes - I usually go from here to down riverway so I get in the left hand lane then get in the right hand lane down Lammascote road. A lot of people seem to go into the middle lane then the right lane down Lammascote. As far as I can work out the middle lane should be for going past asda.

the turning from the weston road does infact have 2 sets of white broken lines across - so its defo a no right turn regardless of where your going

Indeed, and that's why I was agreeing with you.

But you also said..
Which is not true, even though it looks like it should be and most people behave as though it really is..
You are lovely lol - even though it maybe a two way i really wouldnt like to risk it lol

Oh, I'm not suggesting that anybody actually tries it - it would be a bit dodgy in a car. Although I've done it a few times recently on a bike, but nobody is surprised to see a cyclist going the wrong way up a one-way street, even if it isn't..

These are what you can't do.

You can't turn right from Tixall Road into Weston Road.
You can't enter Tixall Road from Weston Road.
You can't turn right from Hatherton Street into Tixall Road.
You can't enter St Thomas's Street from Tixall Road.

Other that those four exclusions, you can do what you like - at your own risk..

Maybe some decent road signs actually might help. If the council can afford them.

Not that anyone takes any notice. We had a Royal Mail van drive the wrong way up our street on thursday.

All drivers should be made to ride a motorcycle for at least one year in all weathers. There is no better way of learning how to read road conditions and anticipating what other people may do. So many people turn left onto single carriageway roads without looking left that I won't even contemplate a manouvre anywhere near a side road.

Likewise they should be made to tow a trailer up the motorway from one end of the country to the other. You can't use the outside lane for overtaking with a trailer and it's fair to say there's bit less throttle response from the towing vehicle too. Numpties who hoon up along side you then box you in, people who sit in the middle lane, etc etc.
I've got a lot of patience for people who are basically making a mistake on the road, they've probably got stressful lives too and a lot on their minds like everyone else. Bloody minded aggressiveness is simple dangerous though, as is relentless thoughtlessness. I teach people performance driving on the race track and the amount of people who can't hold their concentration for more than a handful of laps doing what is essentially a repeat process in a controlled environment is downright scary. God knows how they cope with the road. I had one guy who drove straight off the track with out braking at the end of a straight he'd already driven down 5 times despite passing a big board with 'Brake' written on it and me shouting 'Brake Brake Brake' at him. His explanation was 'I forgot what I was doing'! :lorks:

6.30 am travelling down the M5 with the pick up and a big trailer behind and there's some old driver with his wife tootling along in the middle lane. No amount of light flashing and horn would persuade him to move. Why are most drivers unable to see further than the end of the bonnet and boot?

I think they just assume you'll go around them in the fast lane like all the other drivers have to. If they new the law they'd realise you can't and maybe they'd move over. Maybe, then again maybe not.

Seen this afternoon.... A tit in a Mazda who decided to drive the wrong way down the one way (and bus/taxi only at that) bit of South Walls at the side of the Bank of Scotland to the Bridge Street mini roundabout. He wasn't even put off by the Arriva bus driving straight at him either....

I had cause to drive to Dudley during the so-called 'rush-hour' period the other day. I normally try to avoid being on the road when the lemming run is on. On a couple of occasions, I avoided stopping when the lights went to amber, although I could have, as the chap behind probably wouldn't have, in my opinion. On one occasion I was thus followed through the lights by at least five vehicles. On another, I was overtaken, as 'stopping at a stop light' was deemed to be clearly unnecessary...

I was very bored on the M42 early one morning and spent the best part of half an hour overtaking a bloke in the middle lane, then dropping back into the slow lane and letting him overtake me, then repeating the process.
Not sure who was more the idiot: the old git in the Montego who wouldn't move aside, or the younger git in the Montego* who was driving round and round him.

*obviously not recently.

Went to the tip today, driving across to the 'general' rubbish bit,an old guy in a red focus was coming from the wood and metal hoppers to my left, totally oblivious of potential vehicles coming from his right. He was looking away to his left. Fortunately I'd already spotted the flat cap so had slowed almost to a standstill accordingly. Having given him a short beep you should have seen the look on his face once he'd gotten back into his skin! Then followed by a load of verbal aimed at me because he couldn't be bothered to look where he was going!
