or blinding in this case eh ;)

I cycle to work and back every day, I'm on the side of the cyclist which is why their lack of consideration for other road users infuriates me. No car would get away with such bright lights shone directly at an oncoming vehicle, not legally anyway. Like I say, if they want to blind me, then I'll blind them, there will only be one winner. It's about consideration of others and cyclist's adhering to the rules of the road like car drivers 'should'.

I have no idea, I try and look where i'm going!!! If they are illegal then the police can act. Those blummin bike lights need the same treatment as cars who blind get.

I get dazzled on a regular basis by car drivers with their fog lights on when it isn't foggy. They all get away with it.

If you live in Doxey and have a cat, you might want to watch out for a big, light blue Peugeot 508 containing a particularly thuggish-looking child.

I stopped to wait for a cat, which was crossing the road as I was heading into Stafford. This irritated the driver of the Peugeot, who clearly felt that I should just squash the cat. He made his feelings (and lack of driving ability) by carrying out a dangerously close overtake on one of the speed bumps.

Incidentally, such motorists can be really psyched out when you take their picture when stationary at the next red light. ;)

I had a similar incident with a green Vauxhall once in Cannock - having decided to fly past me on a very narrow road when I slowed to avoid something in the road, he then proceeded to fly off up the road at breakneck speed, almost jumping over the speed bumps.

He then proceeded to stop at the side of the road and angrily walk back to collect part of his exhaust, which hadn't enjoyed its high speed encounter with the aforementioned speed bumps...

I remember driving to Wales over the Mountains on the A4212 in dreadful weather. Absolutely persisting down! Behind was a large fully laden Audi Estate who need to get there before me. He overtook on a blind bend and disappeared into the rain at high speed. Two minutes later I skilfully avoided his complete roofrack and suitcases in the middle of the road!

Later in Portmadog I witnessed a Volvo swipe 4 bikes off his roof with a carpark Caravan barrier!

I've witnessed the exact same occurrence in Porthmadog before - it was one of those 'I know I shouldn't be laughing, but...' moments!

Car drivers - I am extremely worried that many of you are not able to see someone running in a bright fluorescent green jacket with reflective markings and sky blue hat (I'm a cool mofo). Dip your feckin' headlights! You're in a built up area, visibility is extremely good, there is absolutely no need to have your headlights on full beam. I would say that at least 2 out every 5 cars that went past me tonight had their beams on full.

Surely you cannot be unaware of the fact that car drivers cannot see anybody who is not enclosed in another car.

Simply wear a car costume whilst running - simple. No need for these histrionics.

Get a high powered LED bike light, put it on strobe and point it at their cars. Not only does this make them dip their headlights, it also really seems to wind some of the up ;)

Driving through red lights isn't an actual offence any more, it seems.

Approaching the Sandon Road/Beaconside lights just now, as they turned amber whilst I was still quite some distance off, I took my foot off the accelerator in preparation to stop - only for the driver behind to lose patience with my overly extreme caution and pull out, accelerating, in order to 'beat' the lights, which he didn't, as they were well red long before he went through them.

Nothing unusual with that, you might ask? Well, I might have expected a little reaction from the occupants of the cop car sitting at the front of the queue coming the other way - but, nothing....

    That surprises you?

They'll have thought they'd get too much aggro to make it worthwhile stopping filling their faces with doughnuts.

It seems police going "the other way" don't do anything, similarly to speed cameras.
I was in Australia once, and the police over there can pull you over for speeding, even if they're going the other way. When you see their blue lights come on towards you, you pull over and they'll turn around and catch you up to give you your fine.

Not really, to be honest - it might have been the same cop car that sat in the right-hand lane all the way down the Queensway the next day..

At least the GardaĆ will actually get out of the car to do you for running a red light - outside Tara Street Dart station at half eight this morning.

What were you doing in a Garda car taking photos this morning?
