Interview today seemed a bit of a waste of time :( only wanted a part time pastry chef paying minimum wage :( hoping for better luck tomorrow!

Drove past the Cleaver this afternoon to have a nosey, they were clearing all the foliage outside and a sign up saying opening end of June. Still waiting to hear back, hopefully soon. :)
Stick ya head in and ask for Martin

Cant do any harm, I know it takes a little time to get re licensed, telephone back on etc etc
Been in touch with Martin and even offered to help with the DIY! Waiting till Monday to hear from him
Great stuff.

Ok -life is like that. Good luck with the job hunting, it's tough out there for everyone at the minute.

Chris.

P.S. connection with staffort limited to my youth (which was along time ago now), but to twist an old saying, "a chef in need is a chef indeed".

Just a quick update, still waiting on the Cleaver, hopefully have an interview in next week or two.

Had a few offers via my posting on Gumtree but unfortunately are all too far away for me to travel, the most recent being in Oxford :( If anyone hears of any other vacancies please let me know! Many thanks! :)

Oxford's nearer than Spain. It's narrowing down.
Lol, getting closer!
Yay! Its all about time, its a great healer. I truly believe it. If I had an operationally suitable job for you, you would probably be in my kitchen. Wont be long now, stick in there. BTW, have you tried the Lewis Partnership, I hear they may be slightly short on the chef front.

I sent my CV to them this morning, noticed they were advertising on the Direct Gov website, they're only looking for a Breakfast Chef & Chef de Partie though so I have a feeling won't hear back because of my experience :( you never know though! Somewhere in town would be ideal as I only live walking distance :bananafunk:

Have you made yourself known to Ye Olde Poste Office? October, at least, but you never know.
Have previously posted...

Have applied for the Old Post Office and was promptly turned down, I imagine due to the fact I haven't worked with Gordon Ramsay or gained any Michelin Stars.... :(

Yep, good luck! :) There's definitely plenty of places around that could do with a better chef!
