Fag Freezer

Picked me up a Fridge Freezer yesterday!

Beauty only cost me £70 BAM!

However it STINKS! Its only 4 months old but the previous owners have certainly left their mark (stench) on it...

I have aired it, lemon wiped the crap out of it and left a lemon inside it....
(I was hoping Fridgy would learn from the lemons nice smelling example)

Am I being impatient?

Is there anything else I can do to turn my Fag Freezer into a sensory delight?

You seem to have done all the right things. Now you just need to leave the doors ajar for a couple or three days and the circulating air should do the rest.

Neat vinegar? You get a slight lingering smell for a bit, but leave it open, and once that goes off it should be more pleasant to use.

White vinegar or brown?

I'd scrub hell out of it with neat bleach then wash it out then steam clean it then give it a wipe over with some neat zoflora and then put some bi carb and a lemon in there for a few days :-D . I'm a bit obsessive about clean ing though :-D

I'm a bit baffled as to how the inside of a fridge smells like fags ! Lol maybe they stored the ashtray in there

Whichever vinegar you want, tho I should think the white would be better, smell int as strong.

Try cleaning it with a solution bicarbonate of soda, then leaving some ordinary bicarb in for about 48 hours.

I'll second the bicarb of soda thing too. Do it exactly as darben has said above and you should be good

You might like to check the folds on the inside of the door-seal - sometime mould can get established hidden away in there, and behind the seal, too..

Bi carb is one of my favourite products for cleaning. It's amazing :-D
