have just scolded my tongue on boiling hot syrup because i could not wait to for my steamed syrup sponge pudding to cool down i got myself thinging about puddings

What are other forumites favouriate sweet treat?

Hard to choose but any one from the following three will get me in your good books:

Treacle sponge and custard
Bakewell tart and custard
Apple pie and custard

For me it's all about crumble. Rhubarb's the top dog, but anything (...well, nearly anything) covered in crumble rocks my boat.

Pudding, mmm my favourite part of any meal. I love apple pie and custard or homemade rice pudding, mmm or my homemade syrup pudding that gota quid burns his tongue on!

Definitely sticky date pudding. if you make it from scratch it takes what seems like forever, but its definitely teh awesome. :D Also cant turn up a bit of the ol' cheesecake. Yumbo. :)

oh i loved the puddings at primary school(in the 60's!!!!)
semolina and jam..chocolate shortcake and mint custard...yummy

canteen treacle sponge
my mums sticky toffee pudding (with dates)
semolina
ambrosia rice pudding (only ambrosia full fat out of a tin stuff)
indian sweets (in particular gulab jamen)
plum crumble
mirabelle tart that we used to have in france
packet cheesecake (theres some disgusting cheap and yummy about it)
any chocolate concoction from a patisserie

and black pudding (ok, technically not a pudding but its still up there)

oh my god, ive not had my breakfast yet and im salivating!!!!!!

Bread and butter pudding with that yellow colour, so you know it's really bad for your arteries, and thick custard with a skin like leather.
