Went to watch "Safe" last night - typical Jason Statham really, if you seen The Transporter 1, 2, 3 or 601 then you'll know what I mean.

They did put some humour in though and a few "I didn't expect that" moments.. All in all, if you're at a loose end and want something to watch, I would recommend it. Even the wife enjoyed it and managed to stay awake through the whole thing - high praise indeed.

Never heard of that one, I'll take a look.

Last thing I saw was Land of the Lost, very silly but an acceptable waste of 90 minutes.

I'm really cruddy at remembering film titles and I know there must be loads I promised myself to watch but never got around to it. Can you please help me from your all time fave lists people?

Having just watched 'Forrest Gump' i'm almost cross with myself for almost forgetting just how extraordinary an example of story-telling it is.

I am also, ergo, blubbing like a blubbing thing. Blubbingly.

Has anyone seen Cloud Atlas?

We've had sky movies over the festive seson, and I've tried and failed twice to watch it, I've reached the 40 minute point both times then given up.

It's very confusing but people have been raving about it.

Am I missing something?

I haven't seen Cloud Atlas because like you are saying i have been told it is confusing and i like films to be straight forward, i saw Life of Pie and i have no idea why people were raving about it personally i thought it was not very good.
I saw The Butler it was a very good film although the butler seemed to be middle class for most the film even having a TV in 1957 that struck me as a bit odd but still it is worth a watch.

I though Life of Pi was quite good, I remember saying that it was stupid halfway through, but it all seemed to make sense at the end.

I wouldn't call it a brilliant film but it was watchable.
