Just announced - Stafford FM will be hosting the Family Fireworks Night at Stafford Cricket & Hockey Club on Sunday 3rd November providing music and entertainment
Anyone know if the Gnosall one is going ahead this year?
A friend of mine mentioned yesterday that she didn't think it was but I don't know for certain
Best view is probably from Lambeth Bridge
Family Fireworks Event at Stafford Cricket & Hockey Club on Sunday 3rd November 2019.
On Sunday 27th October Stafford suffered from some severe flooding. Stafford Cricket & Hockey Club, the venue for the Family Fireworks Night, was hit badly with our clubhouse, car park and grass pitches all being flooded in over 1ft of water.
This has caused a significant amount of damage meaning the clubhouse is likely to remain closed until at least the new year whilst repairs are undertaken.
Whilst the overall water level has dropped, a significant amount of standing water remains in the car park and on the grass pitches where the fireworks event was due to take place.
With the club house being closed and with more rainfall forecast between now and Sunday evening, it is with great regret that we have taken the decision to cancel the event.
Many thanks for your understanding
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause
Anyone know of any other local displays?
I think Doxey primary school are having a firework display , I’m sure I saw a sign out front when I was driving past, I could be wrong though
Surely that's more likely to be a gang of marauding youths setting light to a few buildings, followed by a celebratory drive-by shooting or two.
Just another saturday night in the doxey ghetto
