Fit 4 Life ~ Ladies Gym

I use riverside (or stfford leisure centre as we are now supposed to call it) and think its really good as far as these places go (i am still not convinced exercise is good for you ;) ). Basil is almost right but £25 is the concessionary price. But even full price is good at £33 (i think) a month, with no joining fee and only 6months minimum tie in. The gym is pretty well equipped with modern new equipment and there are always at least 2 trained instructors on duty if you need help or advise who are always very friendly. Its also very encouraging to see that you cant join without having an induction so you know exactly where evrything is and how to use properly. You can also have a personalised exercise program planned for you with one of the instructors.
Opening times are quite good 6.30am til 9.30pm and weekends from 7.30pm.
It is mixed sex but also mixed abilities so not full of super fit people looking at us fatties and tutting cos we dont wear trainers costing hundreds.

Little PS membership also gets you into Westbridge Park fitness cnetre and Alleynes Sports Centre
and you can also do pay as you go.

I've gone to both the Beaconside sports centre gym and the river side one and they are both jolly good - the Beconside one is great for me because it's pay as you go (which in my case isn't often) and I work at the uni. I have to admit I'd be more tempted to go to a gym on Marston road then the centre of town - just a little bit closer to home and I'm not that keen on exercise.

If you do decide to join there when they open you will be greeted by lovely staff memebers who are so friendly and welcoming you almost won't want to go home (yet I guess you still will).

Do consider it as I have really enjoying being at Fit 4 Life.

Riverside sounds good. Do you get swimming in the price? Am I also correct in thinking somebody said you get classes in the price? Seems a lot for the money. Further info would be appreciated.

Thank you

Yes swimming and classes are included, you do have to book your place in the classes in advance.

Yep you get free swimming which is great if you stuck for somewhere indoors to go with the kids as they get in free too!
And yes you get classes thrown in. Can seem a lot of money but if you visit just 3 times a week (whether its for gym, swim or classes or a mix of any of them) which most poeple who use a gym do, then its actually a good price. Pay as you go price is about £46 a month i think. and no joining fee...

Blimey i am begining to sound like an advert for the place, lol maybe i should try get paid for this ;)

Take a look at the link

Thanks guys - I'll consider it. My folks go to Esporta and they said I should join there, but for me and my husband it would be £115 a month. I can not afford that. This seems more reasonable and you get a lot of stuff. Thanks for you help.

Does it get busy at the classes and the gym?

Classes are usually well attended but uausally seems to be places and gym gets busy around 7ish for a bit, seems to be the time people are both finshing thier work ot and others just starting. Never seen it so busy that had to wait for machines though.

oh and also if you work for a local business you may be able to get concessionary rates....

most over 50s will be propping up the bar and putting the world to right at that hour of the week......

Any sane over 50s would be psyching themselves up for a decent roast, followed by Round the Horne. How standards have fallen.

I am shocked! If I was to become aware of any double-entendre then I would, of course, whip it out immediately.
