Tonight I have corn fed chicken breasts, filled with garlic cheese and wrapped in oak smoked streaky bacon, with ham tortellini in a tomato and chilli sauce and topped with cheese. Should be good :D
You like chicken wrapped in bacon don't you.

Yup, peel, chop into 1" ish cubes and drop in with a handful of frozen peas. After about 10 mins poke them with a knife to see if cooked.

In Asda last night en route to PandA and spotted their 'Good to Yourself' roast cherry tomato & mozarella pizza has been rolled back from £3.98 to £2.00, found a good sized end piece of Milano salami in the reduced bin for £0.24p result cheap tea for Trumpet with a couple of glasses of Shiraz.

Corrected.
Mmm, I would accept £0.24 or 24p, but £0.24p seems a bit tautological to me..

Still, better than the 'one pence' that I saw on loads of billboard ads a few years ago...

Tonight I have mostly been eating rib eye steak burgers, on a crusty cheese roll, served with a creamy tomato, garlic and chilli pasta bake filled out with roasted vegetables and topped with a spicy cheese mix. Came to £4.35 for 3 people, sorted!

Took clients out for a curry in Brum last night, Onion Bhajis, Bombay Aloo, Tandoori Murgh Massala & Keema Naan.
Hotel room smelled like there was a dead badger in the wardrobe this morning.

The burgers are on offer at Asda, 50p for a pack of 2.
Cheese rolls were from the co-op, were reduced to 10p for 4 as were that days date :D
Pasta sauce was from Asda, 71p a jar for the homepride stuffs.
Pasta was some bronze dyed hand rolled on a virgins thigh stuff, a quid for 500g but I only used half.
Roasted veg was a tray from Tesco, cost a quid although was meant to be £2 (again the reduced section).
Cheese was a bag of grated stuff, cheddar/mozerella/peppers/spices, again from Tesco for £1.50 (obviously didn't use it all)

Gotta say I was quite impressed, a filling meal for 3 people for £1.50 a head and it tasted damn nice. I quite often eat from the reduced sections, I only eat at home twice a week so I just buy fresh stuff on the day I want to eat it anyway. Helps that I work in town of course, and do my shopping on my lunch break. I always keep my cupboard stocked up with sauces/pasta and other stuff with a long shelf life, and just buy it when its cheap. The pasta bake sauces for example are all 71p at the min, well all homepride sauces I think, so I just grab a few whenever things are cheap.

I still aim to eat for less than £2, for a filling evening meal. Can't help living like a student even though I left uni last century. Plus it helps balance the £6 I spend on cider most nights!

Mrs King and I Pastiched it last night. We haven't been for a while. The sardine chick pea curry starter was very good.

Swung by this place on Saturday afternoon, awesome. Biggest Chicken Tikka starter I've ever seen. Defo going back there for tea one night after work. About half a dozen big indoor barbeques in full flame and what must be the world's biggest cooker hood.
