Swung by this place on Saturday afternoon, awesome. Biggest Chicken Tikka starter I've ever seen. Defo going back there for tea one night after work. About half a dozen big indoor barbeques in full flame and what must be the world's biggest cooker hood.

Proper beer too, Bathams, Bankss etc.
try and avoid the Baggies home match days/nights though...
Got there on Saturday about 3.15 found they'd all decamped to the match so was only about half a dozen in, still a bugger to park though.

Swung by The Bell at Haughton again last night for their monthly steak night. Great, friendly service, excellent steaks. 16oz steaks with 'all the trimmings' for two with drinks for £30, can't be bad. Booked for next month as we left.

Edit for spelling

Last night was cumberland sausages with leek and a little onion, in a creamy mustard sauce. Damn simple, but also rather tasty.

Tonight I seem to have several chicken breasts that require using, so shall be stuffing them with haggis and wrpping in black forest ham (notice a theme here?). I may buy some cream to make a whisky sauce too, mmmmm.

Had sauted porcini (penny bun) and other types of bolete mushrooms, which I collected from Cannock Chase yesterday. With garlic and cream plus fresh crusty bread. YUMMM!

Had the nicest fillet steak I've ever eaten last night, with fried mushrooms in whisky sauce. I love animals :D

Went back to The Vine in West Brom last night, absolutely bangin'. Thursday night is their spit roast night (and not a premiership footballer in sight).
Got a table and went into the barbeque room to be met with what looked like a wall of large spit roasting chicken breast portions, two of those vertical five or six bar roasters fully loaded.

Between three of us we had two of the breast portions as starters, one chicken tikka massala, one methi chicken massala, one chicken pathia, one main course portion of bombay aloo, two plain naans, one keema naan, one portion rice, one portion chips. Five pints (Wye Valley HPA) bill total £42.45.

Brilliant atmosphere, a really fun place to eat and the food is spot on, well flavoured and good sized portions. My two work colleagues had never been there before but can't wait to go back.
