Hi all
I received an email about Fordhall Farm (organic enterprise near Market Drayton which was the subject of a very effective sale of shares to supporters) including information and links to the restaurant and tea-room. The menu looks great and a bit different. I thought some of you might find the info useful so I am cutting-and-pasting the body of the email below. I apologise that it is a bit long and hope that all the links still work:
RESTAURANT - FRIDAY NIGHTS
Our restaurant meals continue every Friday evening from 7pm-11pm. Bookings
are essential. The candle lit restaurant caters for groups up to 35 (we are
open for functions on Saturdays) or a more intimate dinner for two and I can
certainly recommend the food
We operate with the Slow Food ethos and so
the table is yours for the night, allowing you the time to enjoy your food,
enjoy the company and make the most of the evening.

VALENTINES WEEKEND 10TH & 11TH FEBRUARY
We are organising something extra special for Valentines Weekend. On the
evenings of Friday 10th Feb and Saturday 11th Feb we will transform our
building into a beautiful atmospheric and intimate dining experience, with
(non-cheesy) live acoustic music and great local/organic food, and the table
is yours for the whole evening. We do have limited space so please get in
early to avoid disappointment. Call 01630 638696 to book. Don't forget -
bring your own champagne! We'll provide the glasses.
BREAKFAST WEEK 24ND - 28TH JANUARY AT FORDHALL This week we will be
celebrating the most important meal of the day as part of National Farmhouse
Breakfast Week with the following offers:
- FREE tea/coffee with anything ordered from our breakfast menu in the
tearoom
- Guided walks and talks around Fordhall by Charlotte, followed by full
farmhouse breakfast. 9am Thurs 26th & Fri 27th Jan. £10 per person.
- FREE children's craft activities on Saturday 28th Jan 10am-12pm, including
egg and spoon races!
- Special offers on all breakfast items in the farm shop. Such as buy a pack
of sausage and bacon and receive a box of eggs for FREE!
ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRY 31st JANUARY 2.15PM BBC1 Fordhall will be featured so
get your recorders ready! Tuesday 31st Jan at 2.15pm on BBC1. The property
programme focuses on Shropshire and a visit to England's first
community-owned farm demonstrates what fantastic things Shropshire has to
offer!
