You get server 2008, Vis studio 2010, Expression studio and SQL server. Not bad for nowt.

Ive done it. Within 10 mins i could down. I did it for Visual Studio really, but the Windows Server 2008 might come in handy

Glad it helped someone, I've not downloaded owt yet but may move my windows 7 file server to 2008.

If its just a file server, why dont you just use something like Ubunto or something. You dont need anything complicated

Its mainly a file server, but I do use it to test ASP stuff on as well. As I use 2008 at work I thought I may as well have the same at home, if I can be arsed to reinstall that is!

A few posts under my belt
Been using the free VS 2010 for a few months on my home PC. All works perfectly.
You do need to get a (free) license key for each element you use (VB, C# etc) but it all works brilliantly.
