that most definitely isn't right. They arent open 8am till 7pm 6 days a week. I have also tried to find out when they're open before but always seems to be closed.

As others have said, would be keen to learn your findings though.

I have been back there today and i found them open, have now found out there christmas opening hours which are from today 6.00 AM - 15.00 pm (depending how busy they are so may close a little earlier, they are open at these times up until Sunday 23rd dec. and then on christmas eve they are open: 5am - 10.30am and thats it until Christmas, hope that helps, everyone on here should go down to get your christmas grub as they are having some great deals, including taking orders for fresh turkey and turkey crowns.....................

I'm planning on going when I get paid end of next week. I used them few years ago to buy meat in bulk for a family party, but just wondering what it is like now

I've used these butchers a number of times over the past year. The quality of the meat is very good and its excellent value for money. Definitely worth visiting.

What sort of prices are we talking, and do you have to buy lots? I'm thinking of chicken (whole or thighs) and steaks in particular.

You can shop at the butchers for your weekly meat or buy in bulk. The butchers are superb and will cater for whatever you want. I don't know the individual prices of meat, however I regularly buy a couple of carry bags of meat and it usually comes to around £20 - 25.

I tend to buy kebabs, chicken, sausages, bacon and mince meat from them. All very nice. In order to avoid disappointment I would recommend that you visit them Saturday morning (10am ish). They tend to run out of stock at the end of the day.

Is this the place that looks like an old run down building from the outside ?. Was going to give them a try but wasn't sure when I saw the building but ive been told its good quality .

Been using this place for years now, bang on.

Dozen eggs for £2.50
Chicken breast £1 each. Good size, 8oz ish.

They sell everything though at great prices. The only thing I've noticed the food doesn't last as long, although great quality. Maybe because there not vacuum packed etc. I tend to put things like chicken straight in the freezer. Not noticed issues with the bacon and beef, joints etc.

I believe their opening hours are something like 6am to 12:30pm Monday to Saturday.

I can also highly recommend them, the meat is great, and the prices are very reasonable, especially the giant chicken breasts. I certainly wouldn't want to get into a fight with the chickens these come from!

We always get our Christmas turkey from them too, ~£20 for a decent family turkey crown wrapped in bacon.
