Ale Festival at Stafford Rangers Social Club - 4th - 6th May 2012.

Plans sort of coming together now for the event.
A prospective list of 18 Ales & 7 Ciders is now in hand.
Talking to prospective acts (local bands) for Friday & Saturday nights and plans for Sunday with the fans & players day will hopefully soon be sorted.
Caterer booked - Ian (Little House Catering) same as last two years has been booked.

We have heard tonight that the Sunday League Cup Final will be held on Friday night at the ground so that is the additional entertainment we hadn't got planned previously.

Sponsorship is now available and if anybody would like to contact Stuart Maun 602430 at the club or drop myself a message we would be grateful.
Sponsorship includes having your name/company name on the front of your cask or box, included in the event programme and will be seen by all who visit the event.
Admission to the event is free this year and we anticipate our biggest turnout yet.

Casks are £75 each
Ciders are £50
And we are also looking for event sponsors and this is more expensive so please contact any of us.

Cheers
The Team

NEWS FROM STAFFORD RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB (COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT)

IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE

REAL ALE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED

Stafford Rangers FC are pleased to announce the date for the annual Real Ale Festival at the Social Club at the Marston Road Ground. It will be held on the weekend of Friday 4th - Sunday 6th May. Once again the club have an exciting few days planned, with even more on offer than in previous years. As always, there will be a good range of quality Real Ales, Ciders and Fruit Wines, but this year there will be a full line up of entertainment aimed at bringing more people into the club.

Friday evening literally ‘kicks off’ when the bar opens at 5pm and the club hosts the Sunday League Cup Final match 7pm K.O followed by live entertainment. Saturday offers full coverage of the FA Cup Final in HD, live entertainment on the main stage, the Stafford FM Roadshow and games/competitions provided by LIBRIUM Games (www.libriumgames.co.uk). Sunday is presentation day! It has been confirmed that the Official SRFC Players Awards Presentation will be taking place on the afternoon from 1.00pm – with presentations being made to the team including the Supporters Player of the Year, Manager Player and Players Player along with the live screening of the non-league final.

Stuart Maun, from the Commercial Department at Stafford Rangers said “We have a superb weekend planned filled with Entertainment, Sport and Real Ale – all followed by a bank holiday! It is assured to be a great weekend. We hope that everyone will come along and get involved with the event. There will be a range of 18 Real Ales, 7 Ciders and a selection of Fruit Wines to choose from. We have also decided this year to host the Player Awards during the afternoon of the Sunday. We hope that lots of fans and their families will attend this event and congratulate the lads on their successes this season”.

There Real Ale Festival is also offering free entrance this year – so there really is no reason to miss out on the fun.

There are opportunities to sponsor the beer casks at the event – Each cask is priced at £75+VAT. Should there be anyone interested in promoting their business or generally supporting the event, then please do not hesitate in contacting Stuart Maun on 07540 124396.

For everybody who sponsors a cask you have your name on the front of the sponsored cask with company emblem etc and you are also included in the festival programme. We are expecting our biggest attendance in 3 years of running this event so it could be very worthwhile.

We still have casks for sponsorship - £75+VAT per cask. You have your name/company info on the front of your sponsored cask as well as in the festival programme. As of now we still have the main event sponsorship available.
This could be beneficial for local businesses. Contact Stuart Maun if interested in either, on 07540 124396 or the club on 01785 602430.

The income from these helps cover the initial costs thus helping us to make more profit across the weekend for the Club.

UPDATE
If you are looking for something to do over the bank holiday weekend, then don’t forget about the Real Ale Festival that is taking place at Stafford Rangers FC Social Club. The Festival will start from 5.00pm on Friday 4th May and go through until the evening of Sunday 6th May.

The club have an exciting few days planned, with even more on offer than in previous years. As always though, there will be a good range of quality Real Ales, Ciders and Fruit Wines, but this year there will be a full line up of entertainment aimed at bringing more people into the club.

To get the Festival started, there will be live football taking place at the Marston Road ground. The Stafford Sunday League Cup Final (FC Tavern v Strollers) kicks off at Marston Road at 7.00pm. Music entertainment for the weekend comes courtesy of Naked Sunday – The Rocky Road Band (Friday) and The Portables – Alex Voss (Saturday). Also, making an appearance on the Sunday lunchtime will be Tammy Davis, a Stafford-based performer. Tammy recently entertained the crowd before the last match of the season against Buxton on April 21st, and she received some great feedback on the club’s social networking sites.

As expected the club will also be screening the live FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Liverpool
in HD (kick off 5.15pm). If that is not enough, there will also be the Stafford FM Roadshow along with games/competitions provided by LIBRIUM Games (www.libriumgames.co.uk).

On the Sunday lunchtime, there will also be a screening of the 1979 FA Trophy (Stafford Rangers v Kettering Town). This final saw Roy Chapman return as manager and success continued with a second FA Trophy Final success. The current SRFC players and management will also be around on the Sunday as this is also presentation day. The awards for the 2011-12 season will be presented in a special presentation – in a new format. There will also be a professional photographer around on the day so that if people would like a photo with Greg, Doz or any member of the team then they will be able to do so.

The weekend has been hugely supported by a number of local sponsors – and it is great to see them backing this great event. “We have received great support from many people who continually support the club – Francescos Group, Randles, Abbey Polymers, Sandon Road Motors, Adrian Walker Engineering, Den’s Garden Services & Karl Reed Painting & Decorating. STRIPES the independent supporters trust have also helped with the event. I would also personally like to thank the Festival Committee (they know who they are!) that have been involved with putting on the event” Stuart said.

One final benefit of the whole weekend – is that it is completely FREE to get in! Just turn up and enjoy the fun

With this being a well run event the posters have carried a drink aware emblem each year. With that in mind we endorse responsible behaviour during the festival and also, for the first time, have the main bar open during the festival so there will be other beers and a selection of non alcoholic drinks and snacks available.

We have entered into this each year with the aims of raisning funds for the club as well as -
Raising the club's profile
Getting the general public into the club
Attracting future customers and showing people what facilities are available
Trying to bring commmunity together.
A STAFFORD VENUE FOR STAFFORD PEOPLE, WHILE ALSO WELCOMING ANY VISITORS WHO WISH TO VISIT US.
This event has attracted people from outside the town for the first two years and this year we hope more of our own supporters attend the event, especially on Sunday.

Well, the Portables were absolutely top notch, as ever, particularly their singer chick - that's really as good as it gets.

However, although I've seen a good few dogs on the dance floor in my time, some of which were also on all fours, tonight's example really took the (dog)biscuit, and in a fur coat, too. What a cool attitude - and clearly an Iggy Pop fan..?

The final push! Day 3 and we open at 12. Tammy Davis kicks off the entertainment with her acoustic set at 1, with the players awards etc following on from around 2.
We still have a lot of ale to clear so would be rude not to come on down! Raffle draws, prizes, 1st team squad in attendance, presentations and possibly reduced price drinks later to clear.

Yep, a dog alright! Been there for two days so got the taste for it.

Great turnout through the day and we turned from loss to profit within a few hours. Today is the last day and we hope for a good turn out for the presentations and mopping up.

Well, it is a pub game. One of the guys working on the festival owns the idea and is building the game up as well as already having it licensed and bigger commpanies taking the idea on.

I'm feeling it a bit today having made the most of the final day and letting my hair down!
If theres anybody with any feedback please let us know what you thought and we'll take it on board.
