Free! (GONE) Will nobody rid me of this meddlesome sofa? (2-3 seater)

I’ve been trying to shift our old sofa for ages but due to the cushion on one arm being flattened British Heart wouldn’t take it (don’t know why I bother trying to donate any more)

Awful photos attached, I didn’t think to actually take a photo of it before removing it from the living room...

ST16 area, collection only.

Perhaps speak to Katharine House hospice...I don't think they are as picky at BHF... We've got an old IKEA sofa we'll be getting them to collect soon

I’ve not had much luck with them either in the past, and half the time struggle to even get in contact with their collections like as it just keeps ringing

If you have the chance just pop up to their big place along from the recycling centre on Astonfields and they should be able to book it in...

When I was clearing my parents house a few months ago, Katherine house turned their nose up at the table as it wasn't good enough for them. BHF wouldn't take it as it hadn't got chairs (with fire labels on them ) to go with it. When Katherine house came back the next week to collect another piece of furniture that we had managed to drag downstairs , the different team collecting asked if they could have the table which had originally been refused

BHF wouldn't take most things , you could tell before they walked through the door that they were determined that not much was going to go into that van!

The amount of stuff that has gone in the tip because the charity guys next door wouldn't take it is mental, including some brand new sealed items!

In general, in my indirect experience, Furniture Exchange are the most amenable - they will collect items from an upstairs location, which I believe that the others won't.

There are legal aspects about what they are allowed to 'trade' in, even if no money changes hands - and they all have space considerations to consider, if better stuff is available, they're not going to clog themselves up with a lesser item that might also hang around for much longer....

Relisted on FB and posted on Freagle. Might have to just tear it apart and dump it if it doesn’t shift soon unfortunately

Aaaand it's gone. Some students took it away to Newport to be exposed to all manner of fluids, bodily and otherwise.
