Tonight I went to an excellent comedy night in Great Bridgeford, a sell-out event, organised by our own @flossietoo - in aid of Rhino Conservation.
Two excellent acts performed -
http://marksimmons.co.uk/ , who was described to me as being in a Tim Vine vein, but was considerably better, in my opinion - much more of an 'act'.
And http://www.clareplested.co.uk/ , who dazzled with an array of strange personas in interactive mini-plays.
If you get the chance to see either of them, then do so.
Over £1,200 was raised.
The night was supported, well above and beyond the call of duty, by @TheLewisPartnership and the Hollybush at Seighford.
There was a surprise third act, using just a 'fake' microphone as a prop - marvellous stuff, very reminiscent of Harry Worth, I thought.
I also found a pair of Knipex side-cutters in the road on the way there. Result.
I nearly managed to drag @Carole there, so that we could talk about potato peelers, but she's got a lurgy.
