Ah

bet you thought I had bought it and read it in an hour !

Now wouldn't it be nice if i could tell ya .. but I can't .. sorry 'tis a proverbial "wind -up"

It would however be interesting to see how many people opened this and for what reason either

a) tick me off for spoiling the story :fap:

b) check that what i was saying was correct :cops: and then tick me off for trying to spoil the story :fap:

as if ... me? ..I honestly haven't a clue ..but sure a lot of people do anyway but I think I will wait for the film

Hope its a good read ..

and er.. sorry ..well a bit

Now I merely looked in, for the same reason I ask my work colleagues " so who killed Dirty Den? " or " why did they bang up Deirdre? " .

I don't follow it, but I get the hype, and hate to be in the background at the water cooler.

Bought my copy in Asda this morning.
£5.
How the hell they can try and charge £17.99 for it is beyond me...

i thought you had just read the leaked copy that has been floating around the internet for about a week..

if you really want to know all the important bits, click here

note that this is not a joke - if you click the above link you will ruin the last book for yourself.. do not click it unless you want to instantly know all the key deaths/plot points..

:strange:

Oh
the temptation you put there spoilsport!

Neither being a fan of either the books or the films I couldn't give a Nick Ross who lives or dies or gets zapped by a twig or whatever but cant knock anyone who does . It's just not my thing I can't get on with the style of writing and the films are well just boring .

But everyone is entitled to their own taste as the fox said when he licked the chickens arse ! ( I know ..I know ..got my Dad to thank for that line ..sorry )

So like I said hope everyone savours the last one and enjoys .. or will it be like Dallas where in the next book Harry Wakes up and the girlie comes out of the shower and it was all just a big dream? chortle

i don't get why people were queueing up for days, outside some little book shop, only to end up paying full price, when they could have walked into asda at their leisure and picked up a copy from their hugely plentiful supply for 25% of the retail price :?:

i went in on saturday to do my big shop, as per usual, and there were shed loads left.. people were casually just chucking a copy in with their regular shopping - no hysterics, no stock shortage, nothing..

One of my mates was round here and left just after midnight to go to Tesco's to buy it. He returned minutes later, book in hand, for a fiver! Inside the sleeve it said RRP £17.99....surely those of you who read them religiously would still have bought it for that, even if you were moaning at the price at the same time!? Why have they cut their profits so drastically when the thing would have been the top seller anyway??

To get more people in the shop? Lets face it, chances are you won't just come out with that book, you'll buy other stuff while there. Shops have used loss-leaders for years, although I'd be interested to see what they paid for them.

In my case, a fiver's worth of jeans, a bottle of orange Coca-Cola (*nearly* Mezzo Mix...) and the Daily Mail.
Total: £11.5something.

Now you are the last person I would expect to find with their nose in a Potter!?

Where is my Wookie? What have you done with him you fiend! Put him back.

I'm actually quite interested. Only watched the films a while back - was not interested at the time as there was so much media hype I was fed up with the very mention of Potter.

I like to read books in order though - so give me a year and I may be up to speed. No one say anything till then - gotta wait for the slow kid at the back :yay: ie me.

I was dragged to see the first film way back in 2001, decided I would read the book and kind of just kept reading them to see what would happen.
I've never paid full price for one, though, I haven't changed *that* much :)

You can talk to me about it - I might need to reread them first, though...

Can you sum up the first six Harry Potter books in less than 100 words? (Warning: Spoilers. Fairly obv.)
