Help need please: Sony BDV-E290 Surround Sound

I am having one hell of a time trying to get my Sony Bravia tv to play through this surround
sound system and, of course, there is no printed manual.

If anyone can help and is prepared to make a house call, I would be only too happy to
pay for your time and expenses.

It does indeed ACP but I suspect they are intended for those with some idea of what they are doing. I think I need
someone to guide me through it. Thanks for your response.

I would offer to come and help, but I am likely to balls it up ... can connect TVs to PVRs easily but anything else might be a bit beyond me!

I had the same problem the lads from the old Sony Center came round put in an Optical lead played with the settings and all was well

Thanks for that BP. I did try the Sony Centre when I set out to buy the system but guess what? Yupp!! It's closed!! I was seduced by the very big reduction in the cost at Curry's so I suppose it's my own fault. I'll look into the optical cable suggestion...Cheers for that!!
