Open it as an ebay case mate. He sold you an incomplete item. Eventually PayPal will refund you even if he's refusing to.
to be honest if i demanded he'd probably refund.. it's all been very civil so far, and when i told him of the adapter woes he offered a full refund but wanted the unit back (even though it's useless without the adapter, so of no resale value to him), which i just can't be arsed with.. he says the mixer belonged to his son who died at the hands of a hospital's negligence and so they are clearing out his room, which if true makes me less inclined to press him for the sake of £8 - especially seeing as i was admitted to hospital myself yesterday, when his message came through, so i was feeling somewhat sympathetic to a hospitalisation story!
it is a bit shady imo, given that the unit was described as
"Excellent, apart from 1 missing knob on channel 1 fade but this doesn't affect functions", which was clearly misleading and a fib given that he can't possibly have tested it if he didn't have the adapter.. in fact, for all i know the unit
doesn't work as so far i haven't been able to use it myself!
but yeah, tl; dr = he's offered to refund it i return it, which i guess is within ebay's T&Cs, but i can't be bothered.. it's worthless metal, so i reckon he should refund me anyway, but if it really
did belong to his dead son i don't want to rub salt in the wound by pissing on his feedback for the sake of £8..
although if i suddenly arrive in a bad mood about something that might change lol..
as long as i can get that other KMX one for a decent price, i'll be happy enough..
