I've just got this as a Birthday pressie.

He has been on the periphery of my Rock and Roll Universe for a few decades now but I have remained unconvinced.
First few listens seem to confirm my original sceptiscism.

Stand out track for me is 'Back in the Crowd' but some of the other stuff seems like parody - a cross betweem Capt Beefhart and the Bonzo's.

The same could also be said of other older Premier league Rock Stars: Dylan, Costello, Neil Young etc. However Nick Lowe and Bruce seem to continue to deliver class stuff. I shall report back.
