Our friends from Tarragona (our twin town in Catalonia, Spain) are looking for a few more willing host families from Stafford and Stone to host the students who are coming over for two weeks to improve their English. They are arriving on the 28th of June and Departing on the 13th of July.
The hosts are asked to provide bedding, food, conversation, and transport to College or Westbridge whichever is most convenient. The students attend a programme of study and visit interesting local places, thus when they return to you in the evening they are tired and do not require much entertainment!
Lecturer Gaynor Davis is co-ordinating this and says it is ideal for families who include teenage children, especially those learning Spanish at school:
"I do this every year and it is a very rewarding experience. My own daughter has improved her Spanish as a result and had the opportunity to stay with the family of the girl we host."
