HTC Desire HD Repair

Looks like my charging socket is damaged, it won't charge to a PC via USB or when in dock.

The only thing it will do is activate Navigator, so I think the pins are damaged.

Anybody know of a repair solution?

Phone is over 12 months (just) and I cancelled my Orange insurance last month (gggrrrrrr) because the only damage I envisaged was broken screen etc which I'm covered by my bank.

This week just gets better!

I've had my phone pack in charging because fluff has been gradually compacted into the base of the socket over time as the plug was engaged and this eventually stopped the plug from going all the way home..

Judicious use of a pin solved it.
