I can't recall any problems with any other electricity generation methods so we should probably stick with them.

I read just general maintenance cost's are running at $1,500 per mast per week in the US of A. You need to generate a lot of electric just to pull that back

Find it annoying how some green protesters don't seem to realise that the "smoke" coming from coal power stations is actually steam. Those big chimney things are cooling towers.

As for wind turbines, they're massively subsidised since they get paid even if the turbines aren't connected to the grid (they have to be disconnected during low demand periods).
