Hyper-v - anyone used it?

I'm playing with virtualising my new microserver, but am confused already! Anyone use hyper-v 2012 I could bounce a few things off?

I patch a number of servers in work that are on it but aside from that, know absolutely nothing about it. Most of the servers I patch are on VMware with which I am a little less unfamiliar.

Couldn't get the damn thing to work, gave up and tried ESXi which also failed to install! Tried win 7 and it installed flawlessly, so think the hardware is OK. Will try again when I have time.

I've tried to use Hyper-V a couple of times and have never been able to get my head round it! I know a couple of people who use it all the time so will see if I can get a quick tutorial.

Lol, good point! TBH the server has sat idle since I got windows 7 on it, I've been concentrating on the house instead. I'll hopefully have another crack soon.
