I thought Albarn was pretty blimmin clever with his "gorrilaz" idea but having seen a program about this tonight I have to say this guy is very dangerously inventive at times but this does look really interesting :master: Anyone either know a bit about it or perhaps have alrady seen it ..maybe planning on going? . I think it would be very entertaining

I taped that last night. Looking forward to watching it.

Has anyone seen the Virgin train that Jamie Hewlett's done? It's basically promoting the Monkey thing, and he's done a graphic which covers a whole Virgin train. Saw it at New Street the other week - ended up walking down the platform to use the exit at the other end so I could see the whole thing. The guy's a legend.

Hell, even I fancy Jamie Hewlett. Although he nicked my idea of setting cartoony drawings against a photo background:

You may think I'm joking, but mere months before the first Gorillaz tune came out I was doing stuff like that. I'm not actually implying that he did nick the idea, but it's a bit galling, especially since I'd also spent many an arseholed conversation with mates talking about how it would be great to come up with the ultimate multimedia musical act, which was as much about the artwork and design as the music etc etc.

It could have been me, I tells ya.

Edit: can't be bothered to re-size the picture. You get the idea.

Edit: As if by magic, a re-sized picture appeared.

If anyone's interested, I saw this...

....whilst walking along the Doxey Road on Sunday. Obviously it was on the rail track running parallel to the Doxey Road, but it was really impressive. My daughter looked totally bemused by it all, though.

Yeah, that was the train I saw at Brum New Street.

I wasn't priveleged enough to see it in Doxey. That would have been awesome.

Did anyone know that, when it was first built, Doxey was considered the healthiest part of Stafford town, because it's higher than the rest of it and therefore less prone to dampness etc?

What you talking rubbish for? Highfields is the highest, built in the 60s. Ah, now Doxey was earlier,so the 'healthiest' until Highfields was built then. Do you think Rich could put that on a Tee?

How would he fit "What you talking rubbish for? Highfields is the highest, built in the 60s. Ah, now Doxey was earlier,so the 'healthiest' until Highfields was built then." onto a tee shirt? Durr.
