Yes and its not the first time, I think its time to change provider - useless!
Anyone else's virgin broadband down all evening?
Our's is fine in the Kingston Hill area, very rarely see any issues.
Granted, they have an SLA to honour on the business line, so maybe that helps. Anyone who loves nippy download speeds and a nice SLA should take a look, they just made all their business packages 350mbps down and starting at a 48hr SLA. Take note the prices are excluding VAT though.
As always though crippled download speeds, only useful for data consumers not creators.
Upload you mean?
Yeah, 15mbit is great but not amazing. Nobody outside of the smaller gigabit ISPs really offers a proper upload speed though.
Basic 76mb fibre gives me 18mb upload, I pay under £25 a month. With virgin I'd need to pay over £50 to match that.
There is no way you pay under £25 a month when phone lines alone are something stupid like £17 now. Even if you use your landline it's still a prerequisite for the broadband.
Well there clearly is a way because I do. SSE mate. There is no way you pay under £25 a month when phone lines alone are something stupid like £17 now. Even if you use your landline it's still a prerequisite for the broadband.
The prices are way, way higher than that usually. BT 76 down is £45 a month and that's a new customer time sensitive offer.
Didn't even know SSE did broadband, looking at their site they don't offer 76mbps any more? And looks to be a bit more than that just for half that speed now. The £24.50 is a very nice deal for that speed, provided you can actually get an offer like that.
Well as I'm now going to be on the lookout again I can post what I find if you're interested? Just needs a bit of digging, but I'm off to Birmingham now.
Just had our box turn up, won't connect
