iPhone losing contacts

Any idea why. This happens t mobile no help what so ever , it's happened 3 times now and getting on my proverbal

Does it happen randomly or when you plug it in to the PC, Me and my husband share an itunes account but have an iphone each, one day after updating mine I found all my numbers had been replaced with my husbands contact list.

Iv had the same problem with both iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4s . Just happens randomly and have no idea why . Bloody annoying!!

How do you sync your contacts? If you do that is?

I don't ever connect my phone to pc , my audio jack is broke so pointless really . My contacts just literally disappear , that's all I can say really lol
