Irish Traditional music in Stafford

A few posts under my belt
Hi all, As an ex pat Staffordian returning for a visit to the aged parents in a couple of weeks, I'd be interested to know whether there are any musicians out there who would like a few tunes with me, a banjo player in a couple of weeks?
I used to play in the Eagle sessions all those years ago

I'll be interested to know if you do achieve a rendezvous.

I exposed myself to some banjo* in Ireland a couple of weeks ago. Banjo starts properly at about 1:10.

* Although in an ex-colonial style.

P.S. If you haven't been back for a while, then don't have a nostalgic trip to the Eagle...

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
There used to be a female 'character' who appeared to play a cardboard box

Or did I dream that?

How do I edit this?
Tuesday night at the Spittalbrook is an open folk session, I'm sure they'd be glad to have you strum along or lead a few numbers.

Thanks all! I'll certainly call into the Spittal Brook, I used to play there in the late 90s up to 2001.
I played at the last ever Sunday Session at the Eagle a few days before it closed it closed(2000??), but I don't remember the lady with the box. The Tap and Spile used to be a good venue for Irish music too.

Do you mean a box as in a tea chest? If so, that was Chrissie Coast. She used to live on the Sandon Road but I haven't heard from her in years. She once gave me a little chalk drawing of a clown on a unicycle ...
