Issues With Stafford & Rural Homes

Hello all,

I am sure I cannot be the only person who has been messed around and generally treated appallingly by Stafford & Rural Homes? For me, since the took over from the council, the quality of services has deteriorated enormously.

I won't list all the problems I have had with them here (yet) but would love to hear from other people about he issues they have had so I can star a campaign to get them to improve

I had the misfortune of sitting at a Parents Evening at my daughters School where the Cheif Exec type woman spent 20 mins saying just how great she and Stafford & Rural homes were. I have no idea what they're like, I don't rent form them, but according to their chief exec woman they are the bees knees and their customers are the happiest in the land................oh and so are their employees :)

Luckily I secured a tenancy with another social housing landlord (Beth Johnson/Sanctuary) through their choice-based lettings scheme. I noticed that they finally announced those god-awful flats I used to live in on Hesketh Road are gonna be knocked down fairly recently. (They affected my mental health for the worse too - and so did the damp and mould with water literally running down the walls in my main living room, which was also my bedroom and dining room. They try to make out like it's your own fault because you don't have the heating on high enough and the windows open for air circulation (bearing in mind this was ground floor!).)

That is hysterical! I did all of those things got 2 contradicting outcomes where different managers said different things, the woman I complained about then ramped up the harassment and things got worse.
I'm really glad I moved out, I was headed for St Georges.

'Took over from the council'? Looking at the business address and directors of S&RH, there's still an awful lot of council in there!

They can monitor what they like, but with the anonymity clause on here. there's bugger all they can do about people posting when they cock things up.

When will those that train people in PR 'skills', realise that this sort of bullshit just winds people up more and that a more personal and honest and caring approach would work wonders.

When I had a 'proper' job, I was once asked how we could improve our image. I replied that all we needed to do was to supply a product that actually worked properly for a sensible price and the image would follow. That didn't really seem to be the sort of thing they were looking for....

PMSLMFAO - thankfully I haven't had to deal with you lot for years now. I heard a homeless couple who were desperate moved in after me - I'm not surprised, you'd have to be pretty desperate to live there! At least the panel in the bathroom that concealed my water meter was removed so I could actually read it instead of getting ripped off...
