Itchy bEARd

I've just been having a pint with my mate, and she said (booger knows where the conv started..) "The inside of my ears itch when i eat unripe bananas". To me this sounded quite bizarre, cos the only thing that happens when I eat an unripe banana is that my teeth go dry..d'you know what i mean? Anyone else experienced banana-related ear issues?

Not bananas, but my ears and head hurt when Chinook helicopters fly by. Other helicopters, I'm fine - it's just Chinooks. It must be something about the resonant frequency of the rotors or something...
