My sister has just purchased True Blood series 2 on itunes which I desperately want to see, and can't wait til the 17th May DVD release date.

Now, I'm a tad reluctant to pay the £20 itunes want as the DVD is £30, unless I can burn the series, once purchased to disc? Which makes it an appealing option.

It's a shame that there is no way that I could get my hands on my sisters version now she's purchased the whole series.... :/

True Blood is a mystery to me, but I see that it was created by Alan Ball. Wasn't he the Man of the Match in the 1966 World Cup Final?..

I doubt you would be able to "burn it to disc", aspecially when they don't even allow you to put a purchased song onto a second ipod without removing it from the other first... well, at least not without using alternative hardware or software to do so.

Reasons like these have always made me stay away from ipods, itunes and all things related to them.

Alan Ball? I think he did Six Feet Under. Is True Blood any good?

American Beauty, Grace under Fire.....

I love it, lots of blood, sex and violence. Mixed with the cute twang of the accents and sweetness of a small town in Louisiana, now swarming with vamps...

you can get software to convert the video file that you purchased from itunes and then use something else to then convert that file to a dvd

It doesn't matter now. FX has just randomly returned to Virgin, after they took it away then told me I'd have to pay for it from now on. Series 2 started tonight. Happy days.

You can use as many ipods as you like with ipod loader ;)

As for video though, no idea, sorry :(

That's what I always said, as recently as Christmas. However, with the donation of a 60gb iPod from noir2985 (formerly of this parish) and RockBox, I'm happy to admit I was wrong.
The default iPod firmware and iTunes still suck donkeys, though.

In other news, apparently Morrison's have knocked a fiver off the £15 and £25 iTunes cards, so they're now £10 and £20. But if you get one of the second rather than two of the first, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!?
And how can I mention alternative iPod firmwares without mentioning iPodLinux? Don't know if it's any good, haven't played with it, trying to find out if it plays nicely with RockBox first. Anyone know? :)

*** EDIT: fixed link. :)
