there are courses covering just about every aspect of IT you can think of.. coding, web design, database analysis, network administration, etc.. you'll have to contact your local college to find out what they offer, and whatever you choose depends on what you want to do in later life!

it's worth doing a course that offers industrial experience, because that will count for a lot more than just qualifications when you're looking for a job.. IT employers would rather have someone with a few years in the field under their belt than a school-leaver with a bucket load of NVQs/etc..

Ey oop my honest answer is finish school.. do your a levels .. either at school or college .Then hop onto uni , get a degree ( sandwich placement) finish uni ( it's worth aiming for a good degree mark on two counts

1) you get abetter sandwich placement
2) you get a better job at the end

er.. finish degree, have a shave, wash, grovel to the bank manger for more money, find a half decent job . Then stay there for the experience for a while, learn what you can, go on EVERY course you can. Then at suitable moment .. quit!

enter the big wide world proper , with all your new skills and become a consultant for huge wedges of dosh .. live happily ever after ..

Or just hone your code skills become brilliant and hawk yourself about and get more experienced and more money ..DB is right there is no substitute for experience , you will need as much as you can to get the big bucks , the qualis just give you a foot in the door.. The voice of experience has spoken!..lol

4000th post? Whatever, I'm nonchalant..
I would side on Bobby's view that industrial experience is more valuable than a certificate saying you've got whatever qualification. i learned more on a two week work placement than two years at uni. i'm not saying don't bother studying, but try and integrate your education with some practical experience.
