John Joe...R.I.P?

There's a post on Facebook today saying that the legend that is John Joe has passed away, I spoke to him only 3/4 days ago. Can anyone confirm this and have anymore details, ta. B.

Have heard today from five different drinkers that, after nobody seeing him for a while, John Joe was found deceased in his home over the weekend. Sad news.

I'm sorry to hear this news. He was always a regular character when I worked in the Litten Tree. RIP.

He was a character, alright! I lived a few doors from him when he lived at Peel House. Spoke to him on a number of occasions, especially during a session in town where he sometimes broke into song. A harmless character and there's not enough of em! RIP Fella.

Only saw him last week I think, between xmas and new year at least. Sad to hear, a character I've seen about town for most of my adult life.
