Staffordshire Police say -

Staffordshire Police is appealing for information from the public after a number of recent incidents on the Highfields estate in Stafford.

Stafford Deputy Borough LPT Commander, Inspector Mark Joynson said:-

"We have been made aware that young people who are not legally old enough to drive are using old vehicles to drive around the estate and off road sometimes crashing into walls and colliding with other vehicles.

"This is not only extremely dangerous as they are putting their own lives in danger and the lives of others but it's also illegal to drive under the age of 17. I'm also very concerned as the vehicles being used are not roadworthy and have no MOT.

"Therefore, I would urge anyone with any information regarding these incidents and in particular where these old vehicles are being stored, to contact Staffordshire Police on 101.

Alternatively, those with information can contact the independent crime charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or through their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
