Kindle issues.

I've been given a Kindle - 7th generation, I think, with Model No WP63GW on the back. The Search function is playing up - sometimes it will suggest a few results, but clicking on them will just produce a blank page - from the rather poor Amazon 'help' forum, it would appear that I may not be alone, but is anybody else in this position.

I have restarted, but to no avail.

Struggled through their 'system' and they finally admitted that they know it's going on - I suggested that they might like to announce this to avoid loads of people wasting their time.

i have an older version kindle but the only time i use it is if theres a problem with my laptop , i use it then to browse the web using dolphin browser

When it comes to Amazon, both for tech questions and delivery issues, I have always had a lot of success using the IM system to chat to advisor. Had pretty excellent service with problems usually resolved to a sufficient standard with 30 mins (they even put up with me saying "BRB, sorry, I'm british and I'll die if I don't get my morning cuppa!").

This is my only time having to deal with them. It seems very poor to have a 'Help Forum' full of people reporting the same issue, in various forms and to not just put a sticky announcement on so that hordes of people don't waste their time trying to find out if it's just them. I had to persevere on the phone to get them to eventually tell me that they already knew it was happening (that was from the third person up the chain) and they were attempting to sort it from their end. Some people on the Forum were advising to do a Device Reset, which would remove any stored data in the machine.

It has just started working again, I tried an hour ago and it still wasn't...

Maybe they've fixed it..?
