HI My name is Sue, I live in Stafford, I'm in my 50's ,
I love being out and about, walking a few miles, county pubs, travel, dining, theatre . Love baking ,cake/cookie decorating. singing in a choir, Have tried hard to make new friends but most in the groups I attend are married,so not always free at weekends to socialize.
Most groups for ladies seem to meet for week day afternoon, What about single ladies who work, there doesn't seem any clubs for us.
I have married friends, but I'm a divorcee with grown children, and feel very cut off at weekends.
I wanted to start a Single Ladies Dine and Social Group, for single ladies in the Stafford area . age group from 45 plus to meet up and make new friends.
Having a social meet up in Stafford once a month, then arranging weekend activities ,e.g. Weekend Dining out, Weekend Day Trips using Staffordshire coach companies, visiting historical towns, seaside places, Joining ramblers for Weekend walks and then a pub lunch after, Weekend Afternoon trips out, car sharing members pay drivers, visiting places of interest and having cream teas etc. Going to Saturday matinee's at local Staffordshire theatres with light supper after, other ideas welcome.
There seems to be plenty of day clubs for semi or retired people but nothing at weekends, for single working or retired ladies, who feel life is pasting them by or maybe are new to the area and want to make new friends, I'm taking names at the moment and once I have a table of 4 interested ladies will start the group. Would some thing like this be more appealing

I know somebody that goes to that - she is "not that sort of person" and was very sceptical before she first went - but now, she will make great efforts to avoid missing a Tuesday.
