Personal opinion. I love it. However there are many laptops around with processors that wouldn't have been suited to run anything above XP, and funnily enough it's a lot of the ones on black friday deals today. I've had so many laptops in that have the Celeron 1037u processor, and some AMD 1GHz things that run like crap! They shove 1TB hard drives in with 4GB ram to make people believe they are really good spec, and unfortunately a lot of buyers have no experience to see beyond those 2 stats.

I was waiting to order wife one for Christmas and held out for today, but instead have ordered one from eBuyer at it's regular price that it has been for weeks. I'm now starting to see Black Friday as "Crap Friday".....

Store managers to head offices said:
Oh, they're not shifting and we get too many returned so let's drop the price on Black Friday to get rid!

It's a horrible OS. It took me an hour and ten minutes to get a printer to work on W10. Ridiculous amount of time for something that should have taken 10 minutes.

It's a good OS and as easily useable as Win7. I find the Apple alternative a right pain to make compatible with everything.

It's just once we have chosen which way to go, it becomes difficult for us to work with the alternative. Nothing to do with one being rubbish and the other fantastic.

I've used various versions of Windows over many years and I find 10 to be the most obstructive and unintuitive of the lot. And I said it was horrible and not rubbish. There is a difference.

A very old printer or not? Everything manufactured in the last decade I've had installed and working in no time at all. In fact, Windows 10 supports more printers "out of the box" than any other Windows o/s ever has. I think you may have had a few unlucky experiences that have put you off.

On another Windows 10 note, I have upgraded my dad's PC today and his only gripe was that the old Windows 7 type of Solitaire and Minesweeper games were gone. I now have installers to put them onto Windows 10 if anyone needs a download link just ask and I'll provide

New printer about 6 months ago I think. It wouldn't install as it said it was already being installed and told me to quit that installer. Ended up downloading two different HP "fix" apps both of which gave me the same result (no install) and eventually something worked and it installed the software.

I've used various versions of Windows, 3.1 (I think), XP, 2000, Vista, 7 and 10 and have found all of them to make things far more difficult than they should be.
