By the way, i know that you understand that the European Parliament elections are decided via a form of Proportional Representation, but it might interest you to know how it works.

Because you are super interested in these things, yes?

There are different forms of PR, some are more P than others.

The d'Hondt system, for example, is exactly the kind of PR system you would wish to adopt if you wanted PR to look as much like FPTP as is proportionally possible. It is reasonably closely related to the 'Alternative Vote' system that you voted against in 2011, do you remember doing that?

Which is why it is the agreed mechanism that you will fail to understand on the 23rd June.

But don't worry about that just yet, because as you look up you'll fail to notice that you've just stepped into a big pile of dog shit.

O noes!

It's beyond the fringe, really, isn't it?

We have a newly formed political party that is asking for your vote.

If you were to ask them what you were voting for, they would have to say to you, erm, come back to me on that, but i'm sure you'll be proper on board with it so vote for me anyway.

And then you say ok, i'm 100% behind this entire project because one thing is for sure - they're with me for this one thing.

WTaF?

Sorry Bill but you pinched the idea from Roman History, so I'm pinching it from you. :heyhey:

Enjoying a drop of red.
Yes, time to celebrate because her successor, Boris, will be so much better.

But fear not, waiting in the wings with his cape wrapped tightly round his ankles is fearless Jezza, waiting to deliver the kind of prosperity enjoyed in his beloved Venezuela.

Or there's that lovely Vince Cable...

Heading off later for a week long drive down in the RV to the Champions League final. I'm really struggling to find reasons to come back to blighty.

Whoever takes over will carry the mess she left them with.

No majority without spending another billion or so to the DUP to prop them up.
( yet wouldnt spend anything to help those about to lose their jobs in the steel industry )

billions wasted on brexit backup plans whilst trying to cling onto power for as long as she could.

Only when any of the parties start to govern and respect the wishes of the people will anything actually get done.

Or the mess they left by refusing to vote for her deal. Of course the front runners want no deal. Back to stockpiling I go...

I admit I find this continually fascinating.

Do the wishes of the people ever change?
