He's not exactly the type that would have your back is he ? … (unless of course he was about to shove a knife in it.)

This evening my TV screen was assaulted by BJ … (that doesn't stand for Blow Job … although … now I think about it …) and Rees-Mogg. (I'll probably have to send the set off to be 'de-slimed.')

Apparently according to the chinless wonder RM you can't use the courts to determine political debate. I'm curious to know how the battle bus was political debate, but there you go, f****** quantum mechanics is easier to work out than political debate.

I can only look around in despair .. but .. and I borrow these words from the lately viewed HBO series 'Chernobyl' because it seems to me it applies, not only to science, but to these charlatans as well. (Yes, I know it was a dramatized version, but it is good.)

"I've already trod on dangerous ground, we're on dangerous ground right now. Because of our secrets and our lies. They are practically what define us. When the truth offends, we lie and lie until we can no longer remember it is even there. But it is still there. Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later that debt is paid. That is how an RBMK reactor core explodes. Lies. "

Valery Legasov. Scientific Chief of the Commission investigating the Chernobyl Disaster. (He committed suicide two years after the event.)

And yes, I think we are all treading lightly on some kind of metaphorical RBMK nuclear reactor. (That hasn't been modified.)

I've just had a brexiteer tell me it's unfair that we were lied to going into the original EU referendum and that new information should mean we get to change our mind.

Looking at this Gladiatorial battle for the Tory leadership, I'm reminded of a line from Game of Thrones, (That of late has caused much concern amongst the fans about how it ended.)

It is in regard to Danaerys Targaryen, one of the principle characters of the entire show. The Targaryen name in the show is historically another word for 'madness' but if you're not a fan, I wont produce any spoilers. However, one of her close advisers, starting to wonder exactly how her course line is stretching out into the future, comments:

"When a Targaryen is born, the Gods flip a coin."

Well with this leadership battle starting to look like the senate just before Julius Caesar entered the building, I feel I must paraphrase another famous movie line to describe it:

"We're gonna need a bigger coin." :heyhey::teef:

Ah the Ides of March.

Remember it's not just about stabbing people. It's about coming together to stab people as a group.

I'll always remember a line from a Radio 4 phone-in about endowment mortgages - a chap asked if he should make additional payments to his existing plan, as the provider had suggested - one of the panel was circumspect, but said -

"Remember, the people who get you into a mess are rarely the best people to get you out of it".

I don't know a single confirmed leaver who has even expressed slight doubts about the end product, just annoyance at the delays.

It seems to be essentially a belief.

Check out this shit -

Con%20party%20members%20Brexit%20sacrifices-01.jpg

Paid up members of the Conservative Party would see leaving the EU as more important, on aggregate, than being sentient human beings.

It is upon these people that we entrust the choice of our next Prime Minister.

It is our next Prime Minister upon whom we entrust the choices that our Nation faces.

I cannot be alone in being extremely worried about the Democratic deficit in this choice?

WTaF?

Boris needs to win.

Only he can cancel this nightmare - everybody's favourite rhyming slang is just May in a suit.

Good God the nature of political debate in this country.

As you can see, everything is easy. Building a road between the A518 and the A34, for example, is as easy as 1,2,3...

Leaving the EU is just as easy, except about 3million times less easy, but just as easy as not being easy at all.

But it's what you knew EXACTLY what you were voting for, wasn't it? So we HAVE to carry on regardless.
