weeell, depending if you get a local model they may ask for their travel expenses to be paid.

be careful using new new models though...they can be rubbish! ultimately, try and find someone who is singing from the same hymn sheet as you in terms of what they want to achieve from the shoot. theres nothing worse than booking a model for a shoot that doesnt suit the work they have already done (or aspire too).

also have a scout round net-model too, there are definitely stafford based models on there.

Speaking of Kites - there is a wonderful photograph of a red Kite in this month's RSPB publication. Not got it to hand as I'm at work but they really are themost beautiful birds, here's another photo of one:

I have only ever seen one around here, and that was last summer, and before that I saw a couple in Wales. Other than that they're picture book birds to me.

I need to go somewhere which is rich in birds of prey and flex my camera, its been too long!

Whats the area between Leeds and Harrogate called? (I literally cannot be arsed to go to google maps lol)/

Always was - and Zanzibar is shut presently, I believe. I didn't want you going on a wild goose chase.

My dad has a farm near leeds and there always seem to be at least three red kites circling over-head there. Apparently they have been spotten in Leeds city centre. Harewood House is where the reintroduction program took place I think.

If you head for a village called Kirkby Overblow - 2 pubs , one is excellent with Timothy Taylor landlord bitter - you can watch them fly overhead

My father also used to farm there
