Saw a very sad thing on the way to work this morning. On the piece of greenery by the bowling green on Corporation street was a dead cat. Just curled up on the grass, with no obvious injury, but very much no more. Not knowing what to do I reported it to Streetscene. It was black and white with a stripy tail. (Looked a little like Larry the Downing Street cat). I have a photo if anyone needs positive ID. :-(

Thank you for posting this. unfortunately me cat has been missing since this date and I suspect this could be him. Could you send me the photo so I can be sure?

Streetscene will scan all deceased cats for a microchip, and surely no-one who claims to love their cat would have overlooked to do such a small thing for their cat.............would they?? :(
