Am i right in thinking last years gig was amazingly hot?

i think i had a little to much to drink and had to be taken home by mrs quid
I went there last year sooooooo feckin' hung over I really did not enjoy myself. Spent about 14 quid on water from the beer tent and not one drop of alchohol passed my lips......I would have died if I had. Couldn't even decifer the music at all. Sat just below the castle in the shade trying not to be sick........:pint:

We decided to go to The Railway for a couple before trekking up the bridle path past the golf course last year. A couple of beers soon turned into about 6, so we were all well on the way before we got there. The Salstar had to go to feed her horses on the way, so decided to cycle. Bad idea. 6 pints + cycling on a rough track + bramble bushes = a grazed Salstar. Very funny! I can't see it being quite so hot this year, but don't think that would be such a bad thing.

Hmmm...maybe the intention was to walk...i can imagine by that point getting a lift would have been a much more favourable option

LOLOLOL! Yep, i ended up in the hedge after dodging a pothole and getting a bit of a wobble on! Couldn't stop giggling and was witnessed by a family of five who, i'm sure, thought i was some sort of mad woman! You defo went in cookie's car andreas and transported my cool bag for me.... Gawd bless ya!

So who is goign to brave the mud tomorrow and make it to the castle? Will be looking out for the forum banner and meeting a few forumites.

Have heard the infamous Stafford Song by Mr Sofa will be on about 8. Grown at Home are on before hand and they are a pretty good ska punk band.

Hi Folks, well, I went but didn't see that many of you there...where were you all?
There were quite a few of us there....me, Salstar, Cookie, cornish jon, BBC, tommy t, delilah, spleeny, TENSHON, Miss T, gota quid, babycakes, moley, curlysue, poetsbumcheeks.....we were stood on the walkway in front of the stage, but most of us didn't arrive til gone 7. The first band we saw was Grown at home, and thought they were great. We then watched the legendary Sofa perform the Stafford Song (which got a good amount of crowd participation) and his Bryan Adams cover, then we went into the tent to see Becky and Matt, who, as per normal, were faultless and excellent! Particularly enjoyed the cover of The Proclaimers' '500 Miles' where everyone joined in! Nice.

has anyone elese got a bad head today? I am so glad I booked the day off in preparation for hangover recovery.

Had a great night if a little muddy, it's quite hard to dance in wellies!

Great rendition of the stafford song - sofa must have got about 20-30 mentions of the forum in!

Curly Sue was very very very rough this morning. I wasn't too bad as I'd suffered all day Sunday from Saturday night, so any hangover today was never going to be as bad as that. Hope Gota quid is still alive after he demolished a fair bit of that bottle of JD. Good to see everyone there, you are all a really friendly bunch and very accepting of a foreigner in your company :monkeydance:

I was only there an hour or so, and you told me at least 10 times that you wanted a 'cannock chase home of dogging since 1999' T-shirt. . . .

You were also close to the bottom of that JD bottle by then.
