hi all im trying to find a very old small derelict / ruined building that i could use for a photo shoot. i have done the castle a few times with various models but would love to find somewhere else? any ideas please? thanks.

What about the grounds of St Georges hospital.

If you like castle ruins what about Chartley Castle which is a proper Motte and Bailey castle ruin (Stowe by Chartley) near Amerton. . A Wikipedia and google images search should give you a good idea of what its like.

st georges is well fenced off now unfortunately. can you get up to that castle then do you know?

I've only ever driven past but it looks quite interesting try this link (woops link goes somewhere else)
its got a map and says there is parking by the side of road, but don't know much more soz!

Just a thought but what about Shugborough? Theres some interesting locations and has follies including a pretend ruin. The ruins of the original shugborough are at the Wolseley centre (Wolseley Bridge) but they are raised to the ground so don't think visually its what your after. If I can think of anywhere else I'll post it.

If you're still looking what about Alton Towers? There are a few places there not just the towers.
