My 2009 Unibody Macbook Pro 15" workhorse.
I have had the laptop since new in September 2009. I have used it for both work and play and as a result it isn't the tidiest example. There are a few cosmetic flaws in the casing (some new ones thanks to the ebay buyer who screwed me over). There are several scratches on the casing, the underside is thoroughly scratched, however, you never see the bottom. I can't remember looking at it at all in the nearly four years I've had the machine.
There is also a small burn in one of the keys, although these are replaceable. I hadn't replaced it as it has never bothered me. A couple of the rubber feet are also absent, although these are pennies on ebay. Again, never bothered me so were never replaced.
The hardware functions perfectly, with the exception of the DVD drive which works intermittently. I'm sure it can be replaced at little cost. Every key on the keyboard works properly, the mouse pad functions perfectly and accurately. Battery life is still good, down to about half of it's original performance, but that still equates to over two hours of use at the very least.
Both graphics cards function perfectly and the screen is undamaged and has no dead pixels. Likewise the camera and microphone both work perfectly. The sound card and speakers are also spot on. The screen is the upgraded matte screen (extra cost option) which works wonderfully even in the sun, and therefore also has the silver bezel, which is rare.
I got ripped off by an ebay seller, who claimed the laptop was not as described and opened a case against me. I offered a full refund, and paid back the £550 plus postage he had paid for the laptop. In return I received the laptop in a box and nothing else. I didn't receive the (brand new) power pack, original box, neoprene case or restore DVDs. The laptop came with fresh scratches to boot. Bewilderingly, after speaking with ebay, writing to the UK CEO and speaking with the Police, I was eventually forced to give up and try and undertake a small claims case. I have neither the time nor inclination to do this, so I am just going to sell the laptop on and have done with the whole situation.
Therefore, I am offering the laptop, complete with a ropey looking but perfectly functioning power adapter, with a fresh install of OS X Lion on for £300, and I'll even deliver it in the local area for that price.
Specs and photos to follow.
