Yep was v. exciting but still alot of work to do for an all English final.

Were you planning a trip to the San Siro Gloop? You wouldn't get me anywhere near italy for a football match. Not when there are cowardice 'ultras' running round with knives trying to stab you :down:

Yes mate, two day trip to the San Siro. Would've been mint.

Sadly can't get the time off work. Money saved will be spent on our apartment now. That and a few Soprano box sets. ;)

I'm just as likely to get stabbed on Saturday at Goodison too. That doesn't worry me though.

We need Rio back for the tie next week, although I understand they'll be missing Maldini. If we play with the same tempo I think we have chance. Need to score twice though.

Yeah defence is gonna be the key next week. If you slow down to the italians pace then it's all over. not likely to happen when you have got R+R in your team though!

If we go out I at least hope we go out playing attacking football. Doesn't have to be naive football but I'd like to see us have a go at them.

I think you've got to score tho' coz at the moment you look as tho you'll concede at least 1 in every game.

You'll need the Brazilian mind-set of it doesn't matter how many you concede as long as you score more.

Gloop - i know you hate Heinze but, credit where credits due, he had a good game last night.

The Senegalese Superman was as much at fault for the second as Gabby. Touch of Kaka class for the first.

The defence has no shape since we're minus 3 of the first choice. Evra is a great player (especially going forwards) but is only about 70% fit. Second half Gabby was excellent. The tackle on Kaka before we bagged the 3rd was brilliant.

As for the we'll score more than you approach, that's the Utd way. ;)

Any score predictions for the semi finals?

I reckon crouchy will take it to penalties tonight then the pool will go through (hopefully) and man u will get a nervy goalless draw tomorrow to make an all north west final.

If we make it through I'll put money on Scholes being suspended for the final. Again.

Really enjoyed last nights game. Thought Liverpool were the better and more positive team. Great to see moanrihno at the end :)

As for the atmosphere, well what can you say? Not many fans in the world can show that much passion.

I'll be begrudgingly willing on manure tonight in the hope of an all English finale. Plus it's always nice to see the eyetalians lose.

Manure? Jesus christ. I thought the lingo from Loaded magazine was rightfully binned when folk realised Alan Davies et al weren't funny. ;)

Not many fans can show that much passion? They're the most repugnant misbehaved fans in the country. The loveable scouser steretoype that SSN have been perpetuating since before the match yesterday is a complete myth.

I got out of bed the wrong side this month and the thought of seeing some vermin waving six fingers at me is making my blood boil.
