    You had a whole farthing?

    You were lucky!

Was that when he was in @wmrcomputers garden?

You should have bought all four, handed over this lot, and asked for your change:

You could have seen "A Kid for Two Farthings" in 1955. You'd have got Diana Dors & Irene Handl for your money.

or approximately 384 to the pound. So one pounds worth would be 10 pounds.

Along with the terrible town centre paving, anyone else noticed they've used an array of different colour light bulbs in the street lights, some energy saving new white ones, next to the old yellow ones ?

You'd just replace the lot , or at least pair the colours together.

Market Square provides a perfect demonstration of the incompetence of our BC. Its poorly maintained, done on the cheap, with absolute no thought or f#ck given. Useless.

    It's an embarrassment.

I see to match the mis matched paving we now have mismatched street lamps. They’ve taken two of the nice old style lamp posts away and replaced them with some modern silver things. I don’t think they fit in well. That might just be me being so used to the old style nice ones.

You can't make this shit up.

So they've completely replaced a couple of old black street lamps with old normal street lamps they don't have anywhere else in town.

    What the actual feck.

Just nuke the town centre square from existence and start from scratch.

Maybe (but knowing our council, probably not) they have been put in temporarily untill new matching black ones arrive?

I have a vague recollection of that happening when one by the Crabbery Street junction was hit a few years ago.

We can only hope that's true, they couldn't be that idiotic to think that's acceptable, surely .
