Well, the possibility exists but if my numbers come up tonight, I will have serious business to attend to that may take some while.

I'm going try to lose weight this month - my goal is 7 lbs- not over ambitious and i made a start ystday and today with half an hour on my exercise bike and 10 mins on my rowing machine, I'm going to build up to longer times but as i have got so fat its very difficult to start.

Had toast for breakfast and will be having nice healthy turkey and veg for tea. If i put my goal on the forum and i see it in print it might help me actually achieve it - i need all the help i can get so anyone willing to provide motivation and support it will be very welcome.

Make whatever you do achievable

Setting targets can lead to demotivation if not met

Eat less
Move more
Relax

I think 7 pounds is achievabl, it's the eating less and moving more that is the problem - i'm usually out in the garden but with all the rain i feel like i'm in a weather prison

@arthur sounds like you've made a good start! I'm desperate to start building back some level of fitness but my ankle is holding me back. Perhaps you could post the time you've spent on each bit of equipment and your weight loss so we can all give a little :monkeydance: with each success!

Eat as much - maybe a little less depending upon your 'usual' intake - move morer. Much morer if you can manage it.

Get a pretend dog, they're cheaper to feed but need as much exercise as a real dog.

Spent 30 mins exercising today - squats - leg raises and rowing machine lost 2 Ibs since Sunday - had salad for tea (i don't really like it) would much prefer a goodfella garlic pizza I'm drooling even thinking about it.
But 2 lbs is a start.

And i resisted the temptation to buy a bottle of wine but it was very very very difficult to walk out of the shop without one :(

It's a strong start! I'm not a lettuce fan. I do like mango, red onion chopped with chilli and coriander as a salad/salsa which I eat with chicken or fish.
Still haven't tried any exercise yet, ankle is t quite strong enough.
Keep up the good work and definitely keep posting.

@arthur Have you tried the My Fitness pal app? Its quite good for keeping you motivated & recording what you've eaten & how much exercise you've done & then tells you how much weight you should be loosing?

I didn't do very well tonight - saw a bag of sweet popcorn at the shops - brought it - ate the lot.- went of the rowoing machine for 100 strokes and that eased the guilt a bit

No food of any kind after 7.00pm
Eat breakfast as late as you can
Eat lunch as early as you can
Women exercise on a full stomach
Men to exercise on an empty stomach

Enjoy

Ah but you got on the rowing machine, that's ok. I tried to do some cardiac exercise... Don't think my body was ready or very keen, it completely wiped me out. Two days later and I still feel whacked! Husband keeps walking past muttering things like "trying to run before you can walk" and "don't think you are being sensible" PPFFTT!! :grr: As if that makes me want to do anything but try harder!
