Hi,

Am needing to loose the love handles and having looked around, the women are well catered for but blokes not!

Am looking for a voluntary group of blokes who support each other, not a jock strap!, to encourage one another and take excercise as a group or pair.

Not interested in weight loss fee paying groups as that is about the money!

I live in Weeping Cross area and if any over weight guys as are interested in buddying up in this way contact me and see if anything can be sorted. Was thinking along the lines of brisk short walks, cycle rides etc. After tea or early morning at weekend so as not to encroach upon precious time with wife, partner or family.

I don't have a lot of time and marathons/serious sessions not on the list.

Look forward to hearing from anyone interested.

Take it i'm the only one over weight and concerned. The wife will have to keep me company instead...

Cheers.....

I'm not particularly overweight but I would be happy to lose the christmas bloat which is still hanging around - although I'm more interested in the idea of cycle rides (you will see I'm keen from the 'Cycle Paths' thread in the sports section).

What kind thing do you propose? If you're up in weeping cross, then you're situated very well for the canal - milford is a short and pleasant ride to start with :)

Scrap that, just been up the chase and my fitness levels are horrendous - simply shameful. This needs addressing.

nope i can make use of both my arms when it comes to a drink, no point in having the other if not lol but yes back to the matter in hand so to speak. I am willing to go for brisk walks or jogs in aid of fitness

Any suggestions for the pot so far.

Cheers and getting there.

Hi Shoes,

Had a gander through the Cycle Paths posting and you are well ahead of me in progress but impressed with enthusism. Yes a wander down the cut would be good, weather permitting and at the moment only weekend mornings early on are good as too dark otherwise. Don't fancy a plunge, too bloody cold for that!!!!

What do you think, could meet up say on the Lynton car park and go from there as a suggestion. And of course anyone else who may be interested!!!

I am more into lifting power to rebuild my arms and maybe a bit of cardio vascular, so prob a few jogs would do me fine, I have been looking at caveman training too but am all up for loosing a bit of weight.

Before I left for University three years ago I had some major success losing like 3/4 stone between like January 2007 and around August, of the same year, and I'm in a position where I need to lose some Uni weight (due to all the constant hardwork and silly meal options I decided on) and I need some people to share diet tips with or even sessions at the gym.

I try to regularly train at Elite 2000 for their MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and/or submission grappling sessions which is always a great cardio workout and it's only for an hour so it's not like a marathon or a rugby game.

I suppose it depends on how much you're looking to lose, whether it's substantial or whether it's toning up and the like.

Hello Stoof. Sadly out at Chester working today and gears gone on my bike so need to get it sorted! Had them to pieces yesterday and the left hand shifter has gone as the ratchet is worn out.

Will see how this week progresses but many thanks for being in touch and posting!!
